I am a Validation Engineer. In my case, that means I program software and use it to test electronic hardware prototypes. I debug any failures, and if the prototype is bad (vs. my test being bad) I report the prototype defect to the hardware designers.
I was born in California in 1962 and lived there for three months, then lived in Missouri, Utah, Chile, and Idaho before returning to California in 1998.
I have an associate's degree in electronic technology, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and am working on a second bachelor's in "Cyber and Data Security".
One thing I was challenged by recently at my job was designing tests for security, encryption, and related features in some of the hardware I am supposed to design tests for. Since my employer pays for my tuition I thought I would go back to school and learn new things (cyber security) to help me grow.
Along the way, I have written a few science fiction novels and a few web applications involving databases.
I wish you all success.
